Golden Hour
Steal the spotlight and blend bold luxury in elegant yet opulent metallics and neutrals. From Daniel Roseberry's ribbon-laden Schiaparelli to Armani Privé's opulent new Paris palazzo, muted metallics and understated neutrals reigned supreme. A Schiaparelli babydoll dress rendered from thick, lustrous satin cuir and adorned with thousands of smoked quartz bugle droplets evokes the second golden age of Haute Couture in the 1950's. Armani's collection represents the wardrobe of an authentic, modern woman – one who has travelled widely and internalised her experiences as glimmers of beauty to wear on her body. Take cues from both houses and channel the setting of the sun - you'll be sure to glow through every evening.
Sculpted Elegance
Voluminous, sculptural hips are making a powerful comeback adding drama and definition to any silhouette. From Dior's Wonderlandesque crinolines to Zuhair Murad's elongated corsets, it's clear that the horizon is in fact the limit. Daniel Roseberry presented a collection for Schiaperelli featuring elongated corsets, moulded into shockingly sharp hip blades, drawing inspiration from prewar Schiaparelli jackets as well as historic pieces from Yves Saint Laurent and Azzedine Alaïa, learning from their work to reimagine this modern silhouette. With architectural styles designed at the intersection of fashion and sculpture, it's never been easier - or more chic - to make a grand entrance.
Ethereal Flow
Embrace artfully placed textures this season adding depth and movement to any design. In his shownotes, Daniel Roseberry refers to a series of silhouettes throughout Schiaparelli's couture as 'liquid deco'. The collection plays with form and texture throughout, from a short dress made of an ecru Chantilly lace with an asymmetrical pleated skirt made of 25 meters of hand-pleated nude silk organza, to a Bustier dress in butter satin, enhanced with a clam basque inspired by an Alberto Giacometti archive lamp. Rethink textures and placement to channel otherworldy elegance.
Botanical Bliss
Intricate embellishments are bringing the outdoors to life in breathtaking ways. Elie Saab's collection was inspired by the romantic radiance of an Impressionist garden, each look designed to be one brushstroke in a harmonious whole. From Zuhair Murad, corsets elongate like inverted petals, supporting delicate, blooming folds, twisted and crinkled remnants of a cocoon’s gentle slumber. Florals are reimagined in nuanced and unexpected ways, evoking femininity and grace through elegant silhouettes and embellishments.
